PayRetailers is pleased to announce its partnership with the Alliance for Childhood Vaccination, an initiative founded 15 years ago by “la Caixa” Foundation in conjunction with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and the participation of ISGlobal as a scientific and academic partner. This alliance aims to combat child mortality in developing countries that lack adequate medical care.
As part of its annual commitment to social causes, PayRetailers has joined the Alliance for Childhood Vaccination to help increase the number of vaccinated children, thus providing them with a brighter future.
“As an organization, we are aware of the impact we have on society and how, through actions like this, we can positively contribute to a more sustainable environment and social development,” Vanessa Martinez, Chief People Officer at PayRetailers.
Since its inception, the Alliance for Childhood Vaccination has successfully immunised 9 million children under the age of 5 in the 73 poorest countries worldwide, offering them a future filled with hope. This year, with the support of organisations and companies like PayRetailers, as well as CaixaBank employees and philanthropic individuals making micro-donations, these figures are projected to rise significantly.
Contributions will be used to distribute vaccines in Mozambique and Ethiopia, where pneumonia is the leading cause of global child mortality due to infectious diseases.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for “la Caixa” Foundation in its mission to improve the health and well-being of children in vulnerable situations. At PayRetailers, we are dedicated to aiding this cause and contributing to the future of those facing challenging conditions in Africa.
