PAYRETAILERS LA MEJOR PASARELA DE PAGOS DE AMÉRICA LATINA

As CPO, Vanessa Martínez will be responsible for attracting, cultivating and retaining the human talent of PayRetailers, a multinational financial company that offers 250 local methods in Latam through a single integration.

PayRetailers continues to grow and add talent. The multinational has recently appointed Vanessa Martínez as the company’s new CPO, Chief People Officer. With her incorporation, the multinational fintech is committed to putting its employees at the center of its strategy. Vanessa’s experience and skills make her up to the challenge. In her role at the company, she will be responsible for managing the strategy and processes related to the creation and retention of exceptional professionals.

The new CPO has a degree in Labour Relations and a degree in Psychology from the Ramón Llull University, as well as a master’s degree in Personal Development and Leadership.  In addition to her academic background, she brings to the company the experience she has gained working for more than 20 years in HR; or, working with people, as she herself points out.

During the last 15 years of her career, she has worked in various management positions, both in a multinational company and in the world of startups and fintechs. The last 4 years in IDFinance -FinTech that develops digital banking services-, she was in charge, among other tasks, of developing and implementing various HR and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Vanessa Martínez is a professional with initiative and great communication skills. She defines herself as a curious and empathetic person, in continuous personal development. These valuable qualities will allow her to ensure that the company’s values are reinforced in every project she undertakes.

Her professional experience, as well as her academic training -with a clear humanistic approach-, have given her a very complete vision of people and the different environments that make up a company. Thanks to this approach she manages to align both expectations: those of the people and those of the business. Her job at PayRetailers will be to optimize people-focused activities such as recruiting, training, career development and performance management to ensure that these efforts support the company’s growth and results.

Vanessa draws a comparison between companies and human relations. She believes that every company is a community of people who relate to each other in pursuit of a common goal. Vanessa believes that, as in every relationship, the parties must take care of each other. For this reason, she think it is necessary to attract new talent to help consolidate, build, support and develop each of the PayRetailers’ teams. In Vanessa’s opinion, this is key to positioning the company in the global market:

“My goal is to implement global policies and procedures that will allow us to make PayRetailers a better place to work, where people are at the center of everything we do. Always hand in hand with the business strategy, attending to and respecting different cultures at all times, because that is exactly where I see the magic of this new challenge.”

The new CPO will have the challenge of leading the Human Resources strategy in line with the company’s values. Her goal is that, through the right talent, PayRetailers continues to grow efficiently and quickly. Vanessa’s contribution will therefore be of vital importance to the company.
