January 2023 – Barcelona, Spain: The PayRetailers Group – Pago Digital – Paygol joins the charity TECHO for the “Un Techo para Chile” campaign. In Spanish, techo means ‘roof or home’.
Chile is the country where PayRetailers starts its Corporate Social Responsibility strategic route for Latin America and Europe 2023.
The aim of the project is to support and improve the quality of life of the most needy families living in insecure and precarious housing in Viña Del Mar.
TECHO is one of the most renowned and impactful NGOs at the local level. It is active in more than 18 countries in Latin America, has managed more than 5,000 successful projects and assisted 132,878 families with emergency housing.
Working with TECHO, PayRetailers seek to promote social action in marginalized communities in the Valparaíso region. The aim is to contribute to a safer and more dignified life for families living in the area, and to support social and financial inclusion, which is one of the driving forces and commitments of the corporate group.
The project involves the collaboration of the local Paygol team. (Paygol is the Chilean based member of the PayRetailers Group.) Working with TECHO, every 6 months members of the Paygol team will offer practical help with the housing project in Reñaca Alto, Viña del Mar.
PayRetailers Group will also donate a percentage of transactions processed during 2023. The proceeds will fund the construction of the emergency housing.
